Britney Spears Once Owned Brittany Murphy’s House

Adding a bizarre twist to the story of Brittany Murphy‘s tragic passing, RadarOnline.com has learned that Britney Spears used to own the Beverly Hills home that Murphy died at early Sunday morning.

The Rising Glen property was actually Spears’ first Los Angeles owned property, Britney bought it in January 2001 through her Coastal Operatives LLC company for $2,975,000, according to public records.

Spears sold the Rising Glen property in 2003 to Brittany Murphy’s Nina Bow Trust for $3,850,000.

The 8,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style house on 1.29-acres of land (consisting of two separate lots) is at the end of a long, private drive in Beverly Hills.

Murphy, 32, died suddenly Sunday morning after going into full cardiac arrest. She was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was officially pronounced dead.
